The Yamaha SVHO engine supports a wide range of engine tuning options. We have licensed the Riva SVHO tune library which includes tunes ranging from Yamaha factory stock through Low Octane (run safely with non-premium gasoline).
And of course all the higher performance tunes.
All the SVHO tunes in the Riva library are included with each of our GP1800.
Changing the ECU tune is straightforward and takes a few minutes.
Both of our GP1800 are currently configured with the Riva Stage 1 Plus tune which works well with normal 91 octane premium gasoline. This is the same octane required by the Yamaha factory tune.
Stage 1+ is an optimal tune for distance cruising and never ending smiles. Amazing acceleration, good cruise performance and eye widening top speeds.
There are higher performing SVHO tunes in the Riva library which you would have access to without additional charge.
The factory Yamaha SVHO 160mm jet pump has been upgraded
Super convenient to use and work really well.
One on each side, recessed to avoid snagging toes or rope.
Positioned directly below the handlebars, easy to reach.
Instantly clip on the included dock line and then secure to the dock cleat.
Much better than the Yamaha pop-up cleats, which are not offered for GP1800
Hook the fender bottom under the rub rail and then clip the elastic cord end into the special fender plates we have mounted fore and aft on each side just below the seat and hood. Much quicker than other methods for setting up fenders when arriving at a dock. Takes very little time.
We normally attach the fenders before getting close to the dock. Avoid boat congestion right at the dock while getting the fenders and docking line ready. Then idle in and glide to a stop at the dock, ready to lock your dock line around the dock cleat. Done.
Inverted J hook added to the factory tow hoop behind the rear seat.
The J hook makes it much easier and more secure to attach a tow rope or dock line.
Inverted J provides more finger access and less fiddly rope handling.
Rope disconnect is so much nicer not having to fight with tight wet knots.
Reinforced hoop plate inside the hull for secure towing.
